The 2016 Beijing World Winter Sports Expo Opens its Doors

Beijing, China – The 1st edition of the Beijing World Winter Sports Expo debuted yesterday with an opening ceremony where important representatives of the Winter Sports Industry attended.

The Expo, which aims to become the largest and most influential exhibition of its kind in the world, is taking place at the China National Convention Centre (CNCC) located in the Olympic Village. The four-days event includes an exhibition, keynote speeches, summit forums and many related activities attracting more than 100,000 attendees from around the world.

CTC Ice & Snow is present at the Expo showcasing its solutions for winter sports facilities, including the Canadome (Sino-Canadian Ice Sports Comunity Centre), and featuring a 20 sqm synthetic curling, where people can try this winter discipline.

Yesterday, an honorable guest, Mr. Wang Anshun, Mayor of Beijing, visited CTC's curling demo and was hosted by Mr. Guy Evon Cloutier, Chairman & CEO of CTC.

Mr. Cloutier was also invited to an important ceremony with Mr. Ma Yujun, Mayor of Zhangjiakou, where they had the chance to discuss the challenges of the 2022 Winter Olympics and how Canadian expertise can contribute to deliver an excellent event.
