Montreal Canadiens Hockey School in Beijing

The first camp of the Montreal Canadiens Hockey School in Beijing was successfully completed on January 10th, at the Hokay Sports Center.

For two days, more than 25 participants were coached by the four Canadiens Alumni: Steve Shutt, Gaston Gingras, Patrice Brisebois and Mathieu Dandenauld.

An official jersey of the Montreal Canadiens was given to each participant as well as socks and a camp t-shirt.

The camp started with a short presentation and speech from the coaches followed by warm up activities.

The head coach, Gaston Gingras, then gave instructions for the first drill on the ice.

The Alumni Players shared their experience on techniques and team work with the participants and local coaches.

There were specialized on ice training for goaltenders, defencemen and forwards.

Youppi, the official mascot of the Montreal Canadiens was present in the sessions cheering the young players along with their parents.

At the end of the second session, a certificate, signed by the Montreal Canadiens Alumni Players, was given to the participants for successfully completing the camp.

The Montreal Canadiens Alumni in China and the Hockey School are produly presented by CTC.
