New Ice Rink in Wuhan

Wuhan, China – April 30th marks the first day for the people of Wuhan to enjoy a brand new ice rink. Located at the Livat shopping mall, the facility was designed and constructed by CTC Ice and Snow as part of a turnkey solution package. The duration of the project lasted about a year and a half and is equipped with the best technology available in the market in terms of refrigeration and ice rink equipment.

“In CTC, we want to always offer the best solution to our customers. We focus on offering long lasting facilities with the lower energy consumption standards”; explained Clifford Dang, Director of Project Engineering at CTC Group. This facility has an indirect refrigeration system that works with R404A and ethylene glycol and concrete floor; in addition, imported SSU dasher boards were installed with all the security requirements.

The event to officially open the ice rink was held on Saturday 2nd May, where visitors attending could enjoy an artistic skate exhibition as well as ahockey exhibition performed by 12-year-old kids. The ice rink was mainly built for leisure skating, however, it is a great alternative for the people of Wuhan to practice winter sports.
